Safe and Sound

Safe and Sound Santa Fe is owned and operated by Diane Livoti Perlman and her husband, Todd Perlman.

Diane has worked with dogs professionally since 2001. She is a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer through the independent credentialing organization, the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers, and is a CBC, Canine Behavior Consultant through the Marin Humane Society. She is a member of the American Pet Dog Trainer’s Association (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). She regularly participates in continuing education to sate her intellectual curiousity and evolve her approach.

Diane and Todd relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to Santa Fe in 2021, fulfilling a lifelong plan of Diane’s to return to Northern New Mexico, where she spent time in her rambling 20s. (They are a bit more gray these days than this picture taken at their wedding in 2009.)

Together they ran one of the East Bay Area’s largest and most successful positive reinforcement dog day care and boarding centers, and continue to run a full-service dog-walking and pet-sitting business today with their veteran East Bay team of pros.

Diane and Todd bring to your dogs their extensive knowledge of off-leash group play and adventure outings, and deep understanding of canine social and behavioral development.

Safe and Sound Santa Fe has been designed to offer the best of our programs at our small, mini-ranch setting in the southeast foothills near Harry’s Roadhouse.
