The Safe and Sound team has been caring for your pets in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 2 decades. In 2021, founders Diane and Todd moved their family and menagerie of animals to Santa Fe, NM, fulfilling Diane’s dream of returning to Northern New Mexico, where she lived in her 20s. Safe and Sound Santa Fe, a sister company to our East Bay Area company, was launched to bring the best of our offerings to the greater Santa Fe community.

We offer dog day care for dogs under 30 pounds, specializing in enrichment-based, structured day care with a focus on puppy socialization, out of our mini-ranch in the southeast foothills near Harry’s Roadhouse. Boarding for day care clients is available, depending on schedule. Our ranch boasts an enclosed 1+ acre play yard, and a fully grassed scent space with agility obstacles designed to meet your dog’s olfactory and body conditioning needs. Desensitization work is embedded in our program, including safe experiences with our horses, chickens and ducks.

We also offer drop-in visits for all kinds of animals, domestic and farm, when you are away too long.

We offer neighborhood walks and group off-leash hikes for dogs of all ages and sizes, including private training walks for reactive dogs.

We offer behavior counseling and training with Diane. She brings her 25 years experience to you, offering a customized suite of science-based behavior programs to meet your individual relationship and behavior goals using humane, compassionate methods to work with you and your dog(s).
